FAQs

Innovative Community Participation

What does “Innovative Community Participation” mean under the NDIS?
This service helps participants engage in community, creative, and skill-building activities with tailored mentoring and support — promoting confidence and inclusion.
It depends on your interests — options include art classes, sports, volunteering, social events, short courses, business ideas, and more.
Absolutely. We work with you to identify your interests and create a plan to help you grow, connect, and thrive.
Is this the same as Participate Community?
Not exactly. Participate Community is more focused on group and recreational outings, while Innovative Community Participation centres on personal development and mentorship.
We offer both, depending on your NDIS goals and preferences. One-on-one mentoring is common in this category.
You’ll need to have funding under support item 0116 – Innovative Community Participation. If you’re unsure, we can help review your plan and assist with the onboarding process.
